Benoit, Hubert
1904-1992    88 years

proun. "Oo-behr Ben-wah" in French
French psychologist, writer, philosopher, etc.

trained as a doctor, surgeon. played violin

severely wounded in the bombing on D-Day in WWII,
bedridden for years.

practiced psychiatry for over 30 years.

wrote
The Supeme Doctrine, Let Go, The Interior
Realization...

student and writer on Zen, possibly a Gurdjieff
follower.
So Hubert Benoit has written a very beautiful book
for intellectuals. He is a giant, and I don't think there is
any other book from any Western philosopher or
thinker, which conveys something about Zen in a
better way than Hubert Benoit's
The Supreme
Doctrine.
