Chuang Tzu

by Chuang Tzu
first handwritten in Chinese characters, c. 300 BCE
first translated into English and other western languages,
c. 1900.
in Books I Have Loved, Session 1

aka:  The Inner and Outer Chapters of Chuang Tzu;
Stories of Zhuangzi;
or the Zhuangzi.

The Chinese usually refer to this book simply as the
Zhuangzi  莊子
a convention of calling the book and its reputed author
by the same name.

In the Tang Dynasty, about 1,000 years after Zhuangzi
had lived, the emperor of China gave these writings
an honorary title of:

Nan Hua Zhen Jing
南華眞經
The Southern Magnificence Truth Classic
...Try to understand this, because only then will you be able
to understand
Chuang Tzu’s parable. It is one of the most
beautiful parables that anybody has ever talked about, and
it goes very deep into the very mechanism of the human
mind. Why do you go on carrying ideals in the mind? Why
are you not enough as you are? Just at this moment, why
are you not like gods? Who is interfering...?
