Dionysius

fragments by followers
Dionysius...I have spoken about his statements...I
have spoken on him only to make it known to the
world that people like Dionysius should not be
forgotten.

There are many, many "Dionysius" names in
history--all different people.

aka:  Dionysus, Dionysos

The book that Osho is refering to here is a book
called
Theologica Mystica, originally thought to
have been written by one of the original Bishops
of Athens--
Dionysius Areopagite, a man
converted to Christianity by Paul of Tarsus in the
beginnings of the religion.  This authorship is
generally believed to be bogus by modern
scholars, who now identify an unknown man
labelled
"Pseudo-Dionysius Areopagite" as the
creator.  He was thought to have lived around the
6th century CE, and wrote other "semi-mystical"
Christian writings also--but his actual identity has
not as of yet been solidly verified by anyone.
Osho's book using these fragments as jumping
off points is also titled
Theologia Mystica.
