It happened, Mahatma Gandhi and Mohammed
Ali Jinnah, two great politicians of India, were
long-standing enemies – and of course when you
are enemies for so long you become very much
attached to each other. When Gandhi was
murdered and Jinnah heard the news, the man
who brought the news to Jinnah was thinking that
he would be happy, but he became sad –
because without Gandhi where would Jinnah be?
The enemy is dead – you are almost dead...
