This is a statue of a Chinese
    government official and poet,
who came to visit this temple,
which had a different name at
the time.  Upon seeing 6 banyan
trees in the courtyard, he wrote
a poem about it, and the Liurong
    Temple has been called this
    since then.  Liurong means
    literally "Six Banyan Trees", and
    is written below the statue,
    reading from right to left.
