| It is said about Moses that when he went to the mountain he saw a divine fire burning there. A whole bush was burning – but in the middle of it there were flowers in full bloom and green leaves. Moses had set out in search for God. As he stepped towards the bush, suddenly he heard a voice coming from it, saying, “You foolish man! Leave your shoes outside this place!” There was no demarcation line, so Moses continued walking, looking for the threshold where he could leave his shoes.
