Notes of the Disciples
of Bodhidharma
by Bodhidharma
These "notes" are basically the Dunhuang writings
attributed to the semi-legendary man from India, the first
Zen master of China, Bodhidharma. They were
"discovered" by the European "archaeologists" in the
1920's, in the caves near Dunhuang, Gansu Province,
China. For better or for worse, they have been
determined to be authored by "Bodhidharma".

Greatest Zen Master.

The Chinese text below is from a Qing Dynasty
(c.1600-1900) woodblock printing. Start at top right and
read down, then to the left. The first 6 characters are:
Puti Damo Dashi, or "Master Bodhidharma."
