Kabir, like most all saints and gurus from India, has a
biography more full of holes than substance.
Said to be born of poor weaver Muslim parents in
northern India, he rejected all religious beliefs, and
became famous for singing songs, and composing oral
couplets, which were later written down.

These songs and sayings are collected into various
books--some in the famous
Guru Granth of the Sikhs,
the
Bijak of Kabir, and so on.
